Dream Compass

Happy New Year!

I had a relaxing holiday where I lost track of what day of the week it was. I went multiple days without eating anything green. I got to spend quality time with friends who live here and friends who were visiting.

There's also been some hard stuff: my mom had heart surgery and a couple of close friends are dealing with major health stuff.

Most people I know have at least one hard thing going on. If you have hard things going on I hope you have time, space and support to be present for what's going on.

Life really be life-ing.

Dream Compass

The Dream Compass is a quarterly gathering for people looking to stay aligned with their 2025 goals and dreams. It is an empowered, coach-led space designed to bring your attention back to what matters most to you this year. Whether your year brings you challenges, surprises, or bountiful opportunities, checking in with your Dream Compass will help you get reoriented. Because that’s what compasses do.

I'll be co-leading this series with Dinah McLean, who is an empowerment coach.

The 4 dates are 9-10am Pacific/12-1pm Eastern on:

  • March 20
  • June 20
  • September 22
  • December 19

The price is $225 USD. There are 48 spaces and we are designing the sessions so that people get to connect and to ensure that everyone's voice will be heard.

Coaching

I'm here to coach anyone who is hungry for transformation. I mostly serve women of colour in corporate spaces.

I looked back over all of my client engagements last year and saw these patterns:

  • About 1/3 of my clients were looking to coach on finding a new job. I help you get clear on your values so you can find a meaningful job that fits with your values. I'm not the type of career coach who helps write resumes or advises you on the labour market.
  • About 1/2 of my clients have shared with me that they're neurodivergent. Like with all my clients we design how we want to work together to best support you.
  • Almost all of my clients come to me to talk about work first. Most of them bring other topics from all areas of their life. You are a whole person and I'm here to support your wholeness and big dreams.

Podcast

When Dr. Delia Grenville asked if I wanted to record a podcast episode on how Wicked connects to workplace inclusion and workplace barriers I said yes. And then I took myself to the theater to see this movie.

OMG. It was so good.

It's a tossup for me if my favourite scene was the "It's me!!!!!" scene at the end (of course it is) or the complicated scene in the club where Elphaba is dancing her weirdly wonderful dance on the dance floor alone and Glinda joins her.

I adore Dr. Genville's work and it was a delightful conversation that I walked away with some new perspectives on work and Wicked.

What I'm growing in 2025

I've been dreaming out loud with coaches, facilitators and consultants who I partner with about the impact we want to have in the world in 2025.

I ask good questions that help organizations, teams and individuals see what's really going on below the surface. I then help them get clear on where they want to go. I'm here to make equitable futures irresistible.

Here's some of what I'm up to in Q1:

What does your workplace need help with?

Cosmic winks

After spending the afternoon seafood with some friends visiting from the East Coast at Taylor Shellfish Farms at Samish, WA we walked beside the railway line. Two eagles flew above us, and then the warm sun came beaming through the clouds. It felt like the cherry on top of a perfect day.

On the drive home we saw a double rainbow over beautiful farm!!! Extra cherries on top.

Hit reply and tell me about a recent time when the universe has winked at you.
